Dr. Divatia completed his postgraduate training from the Grant Medical College and JJ Group of Hospitals in Mumbai, and obtained his M.D. (Anaesthesia) with First Rank from Mumbai University in 1988.He has now been at the Tata Memorial Hospital for the last 23 years. He worked in intensive care at the St. George Hospital, Sydney in 1995-96.
He is currently leading the INDICAPS study, a pioneering study in Indian critical care aimed at collecting vital data on patients and practices in Indian ICUs. He is the member Secretary of the Human Ethics Committee of the Tata Memorial Hospital.
He was conferred the Fellowship of the ISCCM in 2010, and received the SCCM Presidential Citation in 2010 and 2011. |

Dr. S. C. Parakh is one of the very few anaesthesiolgogists who also holds post graduate qualifications in law.
He did the graduation in 1972 from SMS Medical College, Jaipur and Postgraduation in Anaesthesia in 1980 from RNT Medical College, Udaipur. Thereafter he did LLB and LLM (Graduation & Postgraduation in Law) from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He has been advising the anaesthsiologists on medicolegal problems through Indian Journal of Anaesthesia as well as through lectures and talks at various conferences. |
